CarbonGuru’s MCP server doesn’t stop at analysis. It lets agents act.

CarbonGuru is now listed in the official Model Context Protocol Registry as io.carbonguru/carbonguru. The MCP Registry is the MCP project’s official catalog and primary source of truth for publicly available servers.

Connect to https://carbonguru.io/mcp, sign in once, and an agent gets 62 CarbonGuru tools across five scopes.

In one conversation, an agent can analyze the carbon footprint of a product page, shopping cart, emailed receipt, or spreadsheet, then purchase and retire a matching verified offset or carbon removal. It can also search analysis history, compare products, export and share results, and manage carbon activity.

For commerce, merchant tools extend the same workflow across product catalogs and orders: analyze products, publish footprints, and manage embedded, merchant-funded offsetting end to end.

CarbonGuru is hosted, so there’s nothing to install or self-host. Authentication uses OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration.

Free accounts include 30 analyses per month and agent access.
