CarbonGuru Embedded Offsetting

This page is a working example of merchant embedded offsetting — a CarbonGuru subscriber shows real carbon footprints on their pages and at checkout, and CarbonGuru automatically purchases carbon offsets for every completed order on the merchant’s own store, charged to the merchant off-session.

The items below are examples of a merchant’s catalog, not products for sale here. Each one is a real product CarbonGuru has analysed, shown at its own price in its own currency exactly as its merchant lists it — US and international, consumer and small business. The carbon footprint on each is the actual stored result of that analysis, never an estimate written for this page.

On a listing page like this one, each product carries its own footprint tile — the same one-tile-per-product block a merchant pastes on a pricing page, a collection, or a landing page. At checkout, too

Checkout pages hosted by Stripe or PayPal can’t run the card, but they print each line item’s description — and that description is whatever the merchant’s checkout hands the processor. CarbonGuru gives the merchant a ready-made footprint line for every product; passed along with the item, it appears on the checkout page exactly like this. Payment Links merchants paste it into the product in their Stripe Dashboard. The merchant’s own fulfillment handler then tells CarbonGuru the order is paid, and the offset follows automatically.
